History of SPE Japan Section

The Society is called the Society of Plastics Engineers, Inc. (SPE), which is headquartered in Connecticut, USA, and is called the Society of Plastics Engineers, Japan Section. The main office is located in Plastics Age Co., Ltd., 6th floor, Sunshine Building, 3-2-12 Uchikanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 101-0047.

(Purpose) The purpose of this association is to improve the scientific and engineering knowledge about plastics by disseminating the knowledge of plastic engineers and promoting mutual exchange among members.

(Business) The Society will carry out the following business in order to achieve the purpose of the preceding article.

* Technology exchange with US SPE headquarters and SPE branches in other countries

* Holding RETEC (research presentation) and seminars

* Activities such as mediation of SPE-related books and goods

* Other projects necessary to achieve the purpose of the Society

What is SPE Japan Section?

Headquartered in Connecticut, USA, SPE (Society of Plastics Engineers inc. )was founded in 1942 and is an international plastic technology association with a long history to this day. The Japan section was established in 1956 and celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2016.

As a plastic-related organization open to overseas, it has served as a driving force for domestic plastic industry technology.

The SPE Japan Section dedicated to the development of the plastic industry by holding lectures, tours, Asia Conferences, etc. as a gathering of experts possessing advanced plastic technology and promoting mutual exchange among members.
